(Update: Florida Highway Patrol troopers located Ann Douglas Simpson in the Tampa Bay area, and she is safe.)
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 80-year-old woman from Ocala.
According to a release from MCSO, Ann Douglas Simpson was last seen in the 6700 block of SW 114th Street Road in Ocala on Friday, July 1, between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Ann was wearing an unknown color t-shirt, tan capris pants, and either tennis shoes or sandals. She entered a silver 2014 Toyota Prius with Florida tag 8638VS, and she began driving in an unknown direction.
Ann is 5’10”, weighs approximately 158 pounds, and she has brown eyes and gray hair. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and often gets confused.
