Alabama woman dies in morning crash in Jackson County
An Alabama woman died Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in Jackson County, Mississippi Highway Patrol reports.
About 7:30 a.m., troopers responded to a call about a fatal crash on Highway 614.
A 2009 Chevy HHR driven by 47-year-old Carrie Gwen Drounette of Wilmer, Alabama, was traveling west on Highway 614 when it collided with a 2018 Chevy Silverado truck driven by Michael Urban, 44, of Moss Point, who was traveling east.
Drounette suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by MHP.
