Kansas State and coach Chris Klieman picked up another football commitment Friday when St. Louis high school cornerback Donovan McIntosh announced that he will join the Wildcats in 2023.

Kansas State's summer football recruiting momentum carried into July on Friday with yet another defensive back.

Donovan McIntosh, a consensus three-star prospect from St. Mary's High School in St. Louis, announced his commitment on social media, making him the 10th pickup for the Wildcats in the 2023 recruiting cycle.

McIntosh, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound cornerback, is the third high school addition to K-State's secondary this week after Oklahoma cornerback Kanijal Thomas and Georgia safety Jack Fabris made their choices public Tuesday. He picked the Wildcats over Power Five offers from Arkansas, Kansas and Nebraska, among others.

K-State could add two more to the 2023 class this coming week, with Davenport, Fla., running back Joe Jackson set to announce his decision Monday and Maize High School quarterback Avery Johnson revealing his choice Tuesday.

Johnson, the No. 1-ranked player in Kansas, has been a top priority for the Wildcats, who already have commitments from five of the top 10 players in the state. His commitment will take place at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Maize High School and will stream live on CBS HQ.

K-State did lose out on another top Kansas high school standout Thursday, when Lawrence Free State offensive tackle Calvin Clements chose Baylor over the Wildcats and Kansas.

McIntosh played wide receiver and defensive back last year for a 12-1 St. Mary's High School team but is projected as a cornerback at K-State. He is the fifth defensive back in the 2023 class.

K-State added six of 10 players in June.
