Love Island host Laura Whitmore has denied reports about her salary.
Yesterday, it was reported by The Sun that Whitmore is thought to be earning a fee of £600,000 to host the ITV2 dating show – which, based on her current screen time on the main show during the series, apparently works out at £744 per second.
In an Instagram Story, Whitmore wrote: "£744 a second! I feel sorry for whoever was made attempt the ridiculous maths based on nothing but speculation [sic]," before joking: "Lads I've made 10k whilst writing this story!"

She then reposted one of her TikTok videos where she hit back at comments accusing her of having the "easiest job on the telly" and "gets paid 50K a minute".
"Firstly, Iain [Stirling, Love Island narrator and her husband] has never had any attention on money he earns. Why don't we like women earning money? I bloody wish I earned what was written in the press. I only get paid on days I work," added Whitmore.
"It's easier to ignore things but when you've seen it happen to women in the past and people just don't learn, it's important to call it out. Because constantly printing articles like this generates online hate."
Just last month, the Celebrity Juice captain was criticised for flying to and from the Spanish villa.
"The Villa is [in] Mallorca and [spin-off show] Aftersun is [in] London," she replied. "This is the situation for any host, always has been. If I could stay in Mallorca I would.
"But at the moment, flying me back... is MORE EFFICIENT than bringing our new guests and audience every week.
"I have it in my contract to offset carbon emissions."
Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available via catch up on ITV Hub and Britbox.
