Creekmore Park miniature train rides return

Fourth of July activities planned in Fort Smith

The miniature train rides are back at Creekmore Park this summer.

There was a shortage of conductors reported earlier this season, but conductors have been hired for the different shifts.

Events are also planned for Fourth of July in Fort Smith.

Fireworks displays are planned in the River Valley.

Will Turner brings the 200 Electric Steam Engine into the depot at Creekmore Park after taking the Montoya family around the track on June 30, 2022, in Fort Smith. The train operates Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays, 1-6 p.m. until September when the schedule changes to weekend hours.

At Creekmore Park, the train runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays for summer hours.
