GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office, working alongside the Genesee County Sheriff's Offices G.H.O.S.T. Team and federal partners, announced Friday they arrested eight men during a human trafficking sting operation.

Officers say they posed as underage males and females in an undercover operation to arrest persons who were interested in having sex with children.

Law enforcement says they did not initiate contact with any of the men and that each suspect was aware that the undercover decoys were minors under the age of 16.

All of the eight men face one charge child sexually abusive activity, one charge solicitation of minor for immoral purpose and one charge use of a computer to commit a crime.

The eight men who were arrested are:

Adam Altobello, 31, of Traverse City.

Duane Straubel, 66, of Traverse City.

Joseph Urso, 28, of Lake City.

Joshua Horrigan, 43, of Traverse City.

Marvin Guzman, 26, of Traverse City.

Daniel Symons, 22, of Charlevoix.

Jose De La Torre, 28, of Elk Rapids.

Brenton Evans, 37, of Rapid City.
