After nearly 40 years, this iconic Grandview restaurant is closing for good

For the better part of the last four decades, Marshall’s Restaurant & Bar has served as a cornerstone in the Grandview dining scene.

But after 37 years, owners Matt and Sharon Marshall have decided to call it quits.

According to a statement posted to its social media accounts, Marshall’s is now permanently closed.  The closure went into effect today.

“After 37 years of running this wonderful little restaurant and bar, we are closing the doors,” the statement reads. “We are forever thankful for all the fun, laughs, tears, friendships made and so much more at 1105 W. First Ave.”

The post cites Matt and Sharon Marshall’s desire to shift their focus toward their other business, Central Ohio Tree Trimming Service, which the pair created in 2013.

“Over the years, COTTS has grown and as such has become difficult to focus on while running Marshall’s seven days a week as well,” the statement reada.

You can read the full statement here. It goes into detail about the decision, as well as what the restaurant has meant to Matt and Sharon Marshall.
