Run SBY marathon opens early registration

SALISBURY, Md. – Run SBY is beginning to prepare for the 5th annual Run SBY marathon which will be on April 1st.

This past April marked the first time the run could be in-person again since COVID. Although next year the course will remain the same, organizers say they’re planning to make it even bigger and better.

That’s why as of July 1st at noon, registration has opened with a discounted price of $75. Jason Chance with Run SBY tells us, they’re working to get more vendors, businesses involved, and plenty of volunteers to help out all while they plan for at least 2,000 people to come to the city of Salisbury. “We want to give some more options with food and things like that for people so super excited about that, we’re going to be working with some more of the area businesses and get them more involved as well with some of the offerings and kind of showcase that downtown area,” says Chance. He adds, “So we thought by putting things out now it gets it kind of on the radar and gives them something, the athlete’s something to train for in the winter time.”

Chance also says this marathon they’re going to mail out everything runners will need.

The price for the tickets will rise on August 1st, so Chance recommends getting your tickets now. You can register for the marathon as a runner or volunteer by clicking here.
