A 37-year-old Myerstown woman died Thursday after a two-vehicle crash in Bethel Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Jennifer Ludwig, who was a passenger in a vehicle, died on the way to the hospital, state police said.

State police say the crash happened just before 1 p.m. as Roger Barlow, 33, of East Earl, Pennsylvania, was traveling east on Greble Road with Ludwig as his passenger. Brian Grumbine, 37, of Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania, was traveling south on South Pine Grove Street.

Barlow's Ford C-Max proceeded through the intersection before making sure it was clear of traffic and struck Grumbine's Chevrolet Silverado, state police said.

The impact forced Barlow's car off the road, and it came to rest on the east shoulder of South Pine Grove Street, according to state police.

Barlow and Ludwig were transported by ambulance to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for injuries sustained as a result of the crash, state police said in a statement. Ludwig succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased enroute to the hospital.

Barlow was suspected to have serious injuries. State police did not give an update on his condition as of Friday morning.

Grumbine received no injuries in the crash, according to officials.
