HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Wichita man has been arrested on potential drug and weapons charges in Hutchinson.
Hutchinson Police report that 30-year-old Matthew Demoura is jailed on suspicion of possession of meth, oxycodone and marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Xanax and criminal possession of a firearm.
The Hutchinson Police Department Special Operations Division, with the assistance of the Reno County Drug Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Wednesday after observing a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle turned up over 121 grams of meth, 55 grams of marijuana, 142 pills, and a handgun. All were seized from the vehicle. The pills are suspected to be counterfeit Oxycodone M30’s containing fentanyl.
Demoura is being held on a bond of $135,000.
