Another former squad member will help coach the Tigerettes. Kayla Ganzer, a 2013 graduate, has agreed to co-coach the Excelsior Springs High School dance team with former Tigerette Emily West, who was profiled last week in The Standard. She brings in 10-plus years of dancing experience, along with her experience as a Tigerette throughout high school. “Being a member of the Tigerettes inhigh school and then seeing the position opening up, it was hard not to pass it up,” Ganzer said. “I am excited to be a part of the team again from the coaching side.” Dancing has always been a passion of Ganzer’s, she said. As co-coach, she hopes to channel that passion into providing “an environment for the current Tigerettes to create a lasting bond and memories,” she said. Ganzer, the wife of Excelsior Springs soccer coach Zac Ganzer, left earlier this week with West and the Tigerettes for dance camp in Lawrence, Kansas.
