CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Carter County Thursday night.

According to a crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the crash occurred around 10:35 p.m. in the 1000 block of Gap Creek Road. The THP reports a Honda 13V motorcycle was heading west when it skidded off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail.

The report states the driver, identified as Bradrick Greenlee, was thrown into a nearby creek bed after the motorcycle hit the guardrail.

Greenlee, whose address was listed as Johnson City, died as a result of the crash. He had been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
