BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Fire officials are investigating several potential arson attempts in the Sunnyland neighborhood.

The Department said in a social media post that crews were called to a shed fire in the 2100 block of King Street early on Thursday morning, June 30th.

Half an hour later, a second shed fire was reported in the 2300 block of King Street and a third was attempted in between the two locations.

All three fires appeared to have been intentionally set from the outside.

No suspect was found.

And a Bellingham resident was hospitalized following yet another fire this morning.

Fire crews were called to the house fire in the 3400 block of Northwest Ave around 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 30th.

One person was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of that fire has not been determined.
