Kentucky couple’s chase arrest in Dooly

Deputies say they found suspected meth & weed after chase suspects taken into custody

VIENNA, GA – A Shepherdsville, Kentucky couple is jailed in the Crisp County Detention Center after an early morning chase and arrest in Dooly County.

Crisp County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Haley Chafin says 23 year old Matthew Lowe and 18 year old Jenna Scott both faces charges of possessing Schedule II drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm in commission of a crime.

Lowe also faces additional charges of a felon possessing a firearm, fleeing or attempting to elude and a slew of traffic offenses.

Crisp deputies say around 8:30am Thursday, an officer tried stopping the couple’s SUV for speeding around mile marker 96, but the driver continued northward to Dooly County.

A Georgia State Patrol Trooper performed a PIT maneuver.

No injuries were reported; Lowe and Scott were taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.

Authorities recovered a bag of suspected methamphetamine, a bag of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, packaging material, and three firearms.

Dooly County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol Division assisted in the pursuit.
