Louisiana man killed in head-on collision going wrong way on U.S. 231

PANAMA CITY — A Louisiana man was killed on U.S. 231 when he drove the wrong way and struck a pickup truck head-on late Thursday.

The 36-year-old Gray, Louisiana, man was driving a car north in the southbound inside lane of U.S. 231 south of Bertha Nelson Road about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 16-year-old Mooresville, Indiana, boy was driving a pickup south, also in southbound inside lane.

The vehicles collided head-on.

The boy suffered minor injuries.

The crash remained under investigation on Friday.
