The Tri-Community is a fairly quiet place to spend the Fourth of July, due to firework bans and extremely high fire warnings in place, but if you are itching for a place to see a spectacular fireworks display then there are plenty of Independence Day celebrations within driving distance that are happening this year:
IN THE DESERT
The City of Victorville and the SBC Fair are hosting their annual 4th of July Fireworks Show on Monday, July 4th at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 4pm and will include food vendors, a beer garden and live music. The fireworks show starts at 9:00pm and the event is free and open to the public. The Town of Apple Valley will be celebrating the 24th Annual Freedom Festival on Monday, July 4th at Brewster Park. There will be live entertainment, food vendors, and a beer garden from 2pm-9pm. The fireworks show starts at 9pm and is free to the public. The Lenny Brewster Sports Center is located at 21024 Otoe Road. The City of Barstow presents their 25th Annual Fireworks Spectacular on July 4th at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sportspark, 2800 Mayor Katy Parkway. Gates open at 5pm, Fireworks start at 9pm. ON THE MOUNTAIN
If you’re looking for a place with a small town flare then head over to the mountain town of Crestline. The Crestline Chamber of Commerce will be having their annual Jamboree Days Celebration on Saturday, July 2nd. The day starts with a parade at 10aminTop Town Crestline which is along Crest Forest Drive and continues down Lake Drive where it will end at Lake Gregory. There will be local shopping, dining and a beer garden from 11am-8pm followed by an epic firework show over Lake Gregory at 9pm located at 24171 Lake Drive, Crestline, CA 92325. The City of Ontario is hosting a parade and fireworks display on Monday, July 4th. Parade begins at 9am on Fourth Street and heads south to B Street. After the parade there will be a performance with the Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band at the Ontario Town Square from 5pm-9pm with live entertainment, food, and games at Westwind Park, 2455 E Riverside Drive, Ontario. The Fireworks spectacular starts at 9pm. According to the city’s website this event is free and open to the public. Parking is available at the Ontario Police Department, 2500 S Archibald Avenue (with shuttle service to Westwind Park from the Ontario Police Department, beginning at 4pm). There is no better way to celebrate Independence Day than with baseball and hot dogs. The San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino, 280 S E Street, is home to the Inland Empire 66ers baseball team. The team will be playing against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Monday, July 4th. Game starts at 7:05pm followed by a Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Stater Bros Markets.
