Greenville's Fourth Of July Celebration Is An All-Day Affair

Pud Kearns of Housewarmers of Greenville describes the full-schedule of activities on Independence Day, Monday, July 4.

Pud says the day starts at 7:30 a.m. with the Firecracker 5K and Fun Run leaving from the Kavanaugh United Methodist Church on Park Street. The annual Fourth of July parade will start at 10 a.m. on Park Street, followed by a patriotic program of songs, readings and watermelon at Kavanaugh. The "Bottle Rocket Bash" begins at 6 p.m. at the Greenville Sports Park with many attractions, concluding with fireworks at dark. Also, Pud says the Greenville Family Theater will present "Mary Poppins" at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, July 8-9 and 15-16.
