Area 4th of July events planned

Anyone looking to take part in some July 4th activities won’t have to go too far.  

The Ramona Volunteer Fire Department is holding its annual parade on Monday, the 4th.  The parade will start at 11:00 Monday morning on Main Street in Ramona.  Parade entries need to be at the school there between 9:30 and 10:30 for the line-up.  After the parade, there will also be games on Main Street.  

The annual fireworks display over Lake Herman will take place on Monday night, starting at 10:00 p.m.   The display is sponsored by the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and many area sponsors, and is done by the Madison Fire Department at the Izaak Walton grounds.  Madison’s fireworks display will be on the north shore of Lake Herman.  When watching the fireworks, there will be special music on both KJAM AM 1390 and FM 103.1, sponsored by the Chamber and Madison Regional Health.
