EXPLAINS. ONE PERSON IS IN POLICE CUSTODY. PERSONAL PROFESSIONALLY SAY OH DEFINITELY BELONG THREE-YEAR-OLD THE CALL CAME IN JUST AFTER 4:40 AS AN EMOTIONAL CROWD GREW IN THIS PARKING LOT FRIDAY MORNING. THOSE HERE DEVASTATED BY THE DEATH OF THREE YEAR OLD AKAI STYLO MILWAUKEE POLICE. SAY THIS THREE YEAR OLD BOY SOMEHOW GOT HIS HANDS ON A GUN INSIDE THIS APARTMENT BUILDING HERE AT 19TH AND JUNO. THAT’S WHEN THEY SAY HE ACCIDENTALLY SHOT HIMSELF. THE MEDICAL EXAMINER SAYS AKAI DIED AT THE HOSPITAL HEART RICH AND HEART RICH NEVER GOT TWO SONS MYSELF 14 AND 13 AND THAT’S THE REASON I HAD TO COME OUTSIDE MILWAUKEE’S MAYOR CALLED THE ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING HORRIFYING TWEETING FRIDAY QUOTE. THERE ARE TOO MANY GUNS IN THE HANDS OF PEOPLE WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE THEM ALL WEAPONS MUST BE LOCKED AND SECURED IN A HOME FOR PEOPLE HAVING GUYS TO PROTECT MYSELF, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE. YOU HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THREE YEAR OLD TO GET ANY ACCESS TO A FIREARM IS JUST SUPER IRRESPONSIBLE. A 3-year-old boy got a hold of a gun and accidentally shot himself early Friday morning police said. It happened around 4:40 a.m. near 20th Street and Juneau Avenue.The medical examiner pronounced him dead at Children's Wisconsin.The family identified the boy as A'Kai Stilo. A 28-year-old woman was arrested. "I am disturbed by all gun deaths in Milwaukee, but when the victim is a 3-year-old, I am horrified. There are too many guns in the hands of people who should not have them. All weapons must be locked and secured in a home," Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson tweeted. Milwaukee police remind people to keep firearms locked with a gunlock and secured in an area out of the reach of children. "I'm for people having guns to protect themselves, but you have to be responsible. You have to be responsible. For a 3-year-old to get any access to a firearm is just super irresponsible," said a man who lives nearby. Milwaukee police said there have been 15 fatal shooting victims ages 18 and younger this year.That's a 67% increase compared with the same time last year.Nonfatal shootings involving children are also up.
