Josephia St. Romain, 81, Hessmer

Funeral Mass for Josephia St. Romain of Hessmer will begin at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. John Wiltse officiating. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer.

Josephia St. Romain, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022 at Riviere De Soleil Community Care Center in Mansura.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Cleveland St. Romain, Jr. of Hessmer, Patricia Cook of Hessmer, Jeffery St. Romain of Hessmer, Vincent St. Romain, Sr. of Marksville, Melissa (Ronnie) Courville of Marksville; brothers, Lonis Dauzat, Chris Dauzat, Freddie Dauzat, and Tony Dauzat all of Marksville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers honored to serve: Ronnie Courville, Jr., Andrew Fontenot, Sr., Vincent St. Romain, Jr., Dustin St. Romain, Douglas Cook, Jr., and Dane Cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland St. Romain, Sr.; parents Allen and Angelicia Lachney Dauzat; brother, Earlin “Hank” Dauzat; and son-in-law, Douglas Cook, Sr.

Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 12:00pm on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
