CALHOUN COUNTY, MI – Sheriff’s deputies arrested an armed man at a Springfield credit union after he allegedly threatened to “raise some hell” over a banking issue, police said.

The incident happened around 11:50 a.m. at Omni Credit Union at 4150 W. Dickman Road.

A 911 caller said that a man had walked into the bank with a gun strapped to his back and had told workers at another location that he was “going to show up and raise some hell,” police said.

While a worker talked to the man, others went into the vault until deputies reached the scene. The man was arrested without incident on unspecified charges.

He had a loaded semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun, with extended magazine, strapped to his back and a handgun in his waistband. Police found an AR-15 rifle in the trunk of his car.

The man was taken to the Calhoun County Jail, police said.
