The Fourth of July Celebration in Perry on Monday will feature plenty of activities for people to take part in throughout the day.

The festivities will kick off with the parade at 10 a.m. along Willis Avenue and then vendors will be in Pattee Park all day. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says another fun activity is the Perry Booster Games that will serve as a fundraiser for both the Chamber and the Perry Booster Club.

“The afternoon activities have kind of shifted a little bit over the years so we are looking forward to having this help fill in the gap a little bit. Over on the bandshell side we will have a number of games set up for teams to compete against each other, we will have some great prizes. So, it will be a great team building and family fun as well as spectator event.”

Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio there will also be live music at 6 p.m. at the Pattee Park Bandshell and then the fireworks show wraps up the event at dusk. Pasutti invites everyone to join in the fun.

“There are a couple other things going on around town, Perry Fine Arts with their variety show. So, whether you are looking for something, lots of activity in the park, or you’re looking to cool off after the parade, (there are) different things for you to do as well.”
