Sandcastle Waterpark in West Homestead is opening its newest waterslide on Friday.The slide is called Bombs Away.According to Sandcastle, sliders will step into an enclosed capsule and, without warning, the floor beneath their feet abruptly disappears. That sends sliders twisting and turning down 300 feet as it speeds up to 26 feet per second.The holiday weekend will also kick off Jammin’ July at Sandcastle during which local musicians will play for guests at the Mushroom Pool.

Sandcastle Waterpark in West Homestead is opening its newest waterslide on Friday.
