Winsted man accused of trying to rape woman in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Conn. (WTNH) — A Winsted man is accused of trying to rape a woman in Norfolk Thursday night.

Jason Heath, 20, was arrested after he allegedly attacked a woman while she walking near Parker Hill Road just before 7 p.m. State police said Heath then tried to sexually assault the woman.

The suspect faces charges of sexual assault in the first degree, assault in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, strangulation/suffocation in the second degree, unlawful restraint in the first degree, and stalking in the second degree.

Heath appeared in court Friday morning and is being held on a $450,000 bond. His next court date is July 15.
