VICKI: AND MORE BREAKING NEWS OUT OF FLOYD COUNTY, SHERIFF JOHN HUNT TELLS OUR CBS AFFILIATE WYMT MULTIPLE DEPUTIES HAVE BEEN HURT IN A SHOOTING IN ALLEN, KENTUCKY. THE SHERIFF SAYS THE DEPUTIES WERE ATTEMPTING TO SERVE DOCUMENTS AT A HOME ON RAILROAD STREET WHEN THEY CAME UNDER FIRE. SINCE THEN, MULTIPLE AGENCIES HAVE RESPONDED. AUTHORITIES BELIEVES THE SUSPECT IS STILL BARRICADED IN HIS HOME. SHERIFF HUNT SAYS THE VICTIMS HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO HOSPITALS. NO WORD ON THEIR CONDITION. LAW ENFORCEMENT DOES NOT BELIEVE ANYONE ELSE IN THE COMMUNITY IS IN DANGER BUT ARE KEEPING NEIGHBORS BACK AND OUT OF HARM’S WAY AT THIS TIME

At least one officer has been killed, and several others injured, while trying to serve warrants in Floyd County, Kentucky on Thursday evening.Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt says it happened on Railroad Street in the town of Allen.According to the sheriff, when officers tried to serve the documents they immediately came under gunfire.Multiple agencies responded to the shooting.Sheriff Hunt told WLKY's Charleston, West Virginia, affiliate that in addition to the one officer killed, there were multiple other victims with injuries, and they've been transported to hospitals.That suspect was later arrested. His name and motive have not been released.
