Man accused of stabbing 4 people at Savannah home

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A 31-year-old man is accused of stabbing four people at his home Thursday evening in Savannah.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to Roger Hendrix’s house in the 1900 block of Delessepps Avenue where they found the four victims suffering from stab wounds, according to the Savannah Police Department (SPD).

Meanwhile, SPD said Hendrix was found with self-inflicted stab wounds.

A spokesperson with Chatham Emergency Services said all five people injured were taken to Memorial Health for treatment.

According to SPD, the victims — who are between the ages of 38 and 65 — were treated and released from the hospital.

Hendrix remains hospitalized, police said Friday. He’s expected to be OK.

Investigators have determined Hendrix stabbed one of the victims and as the others were attempting to disarm the victim, they were injured, SPD explained.

Once Hendrix is released from the hospital, he’s expected to be charged with domestic violence crimes, including four counts of aggravated assault and single counts of terroristic threats, simple battery and cruelty to children.
