It looks like the kid from Reading will be teaming up with the kid from Akron.

Because, according to NBA insider Shams Charania Thursday, former Reading High star Lonnie Walker IV is set to sign a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

That means Walker could be on the same floor with LeBron James, among others, next season.

The 23-year-old, 6-foot-4 guard was a first-round pick, 18th-overall, of the San Antonio Spurs in 2018. He spent his first four seasons there, and is coming off his best statistical season, after averaging 12.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game last season.

Walker is a Reading High legend aft4re leading his team to the state title in 2017.
