A Lyft driver was stabbed multiple times by a passenger. 

Police say the driver and passenger were mid-way in their trip between Stamford and Norwalk when the passenger suddenly began stabbing the driver.

Police say the driver intentionally crashed his car into a tree on West Avenue in Darien to stop the attack.

The driver is expected to be OK.

The passenger ran from the scene.
