The Philadelphia 76ers have already made three moves to begin free agency. They brought in PJ Tucker, Danuel House and Trevelin Queen. Those moves were made possible by James Harden opting out of his $47.4 million player option, creating financial flexibility for the Sixers.

Now, the Sixers have to begin taking care of Harden to keep him in Philadelphia with Joel Embiid to contend for a title. The star duo is one of the best in the league, and the Sixers want to ensure they stay together.

Harden and the Sixers are scheduled to meet over the weekend to begin negotiations on his deal.

It will be interesting to see how much money Harden is sacrificing here for the Sixers to bring in three players in free agency right away. Two will be in the rotation, and Tucker will likely start, so Harden had to have been sacrificing a good amount to replenish the roster.
