Pistons re-sign Marvin Bagley III to three-year, $37 million deal
The Detroit Pistons have reportedly re-signed restricted free-agent power forward Marvin Bagley III.
According to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes, the Bagley signed a three-year, $37 million contract to remain with the Pistons.
The new deal for Bagley has no option and will be fully guaranteed. He'll make an average base salary of $12.3 million a year.
Bagley averaged 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18 games for the Pistons last season. He shot 55% from the field and 29% from beyond the arc.
Detroit acquired Bagley in February, part of a blockbuster four-team trade with the Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers.
Bagley averaged 11.3 points and 7.0 rebounds in 48 combined games with the Kings and Pistons.
The Kings selected Bagley with the No. 2 overall pick in 2018 out of Duke.
Bagley made the NBA All-Rookie team in 2019 but never met expectations in three-plus seasons in Sacramento.
