Two-Vehicle Accident on West Harding Road Left One Fatality

MERCED, CA (June 30, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash on North Vincent Road claimed the life of one person, Tuesday morning.

The car crash happened in the area of North Vincent Road and West Harding Road around 8:24 a.m., per initial reports.

Furthermore, investigators said a woman driving a southbound Infiniti SUV on North Vincent Road with three teenage passengers lost control of their vehicle for reasons unknown.

Consequently, the Infiniti collided head-on with a northbound Chevrolet Cruze. In addition, the collision caused the Chevrolet to catch fire which was eventually extinguished by responding firefighters.

Unfortunately, the male Chevrolet driver died at the scene while his three passengers sustained major injuries.

The driver and one passenger of the Infinity also suffered major injuries, all the involved victims were hospitalized for further treatment.

Authorities continue to investigate the North Vincent Road and West Harding Road collision.
