Grice Connect has been following another Statesboro shooting. Grice Connect followers began reaching out on Monday night after the shooting occurred trying to determine what had happened.
The shooting occurred on Monday and sent the 21 year old victim to the hospital in critical condition. Grice Connect has been in contact with the victim's mother over the past few days getting updates on her son's condition.
We have not reported on this story in deference to the SPD investigation. We have requested information in this case and today they released some information via social media on their Facebook page.
This was the third shooting incident in three days. The first occurred on Saturday, June 25 on Pine Street, the Monday, June 27 shooting occurred at University Place apartments and there was a third shots fired incident in Park Place apartments on Tuesday, June 28. SPD has made an arrest in the Park Place incident.
According to a Thursday, June 30 social media post on the Statesboro Police Departments Facebook page , SPD officers responded on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 5:54 P.M., to East Georgia Regional Medical Center for a 21 year old male being treated there for multiple gunshot wounds.
The male victim, whose name is being withheld at this time, was later transported to Memorial Health in Savannah where he underwent surgery and is in serious but stable condition as of the time of this release.
Detectives assigned to the case obtained search warrants for the scene of the assault, an apartment where the victim lived located on University Place in Statesboro. The shooting occurred inside of the residence. Crime scene techs processed the apartment for approximately six hours while other detectives conducted interviews and worked other leads.

Mother pleads for help
The victim's mother has shared updates and pictures of her son on life support at Memorial Health in Savannah with Grice Connect. She is pleading for anyone with information on who shot her son to please come forward. She also asks for prayers for her son and their family.
