The 4th of July is just around the corner and many people are looking forward to seeing the fireworks fly up and explode in the air. Marshall County and the surrounding area has plenty of fireworks displays for everyone to enjoy. There are many different shows to watch and most of them will be from July 1 to July 4.

Tishomingo will have a firework show on July 1 at the Tishomingo High School Football Field. The fireworks will start to shoot off at 9 p.m. and it will be followed up by the red-dirt street dance for those who wish to attend. July 2 will start the Red, White & Boom celebratory parade in the morning for everyone. Families can go to watch the parade on Main Street in Tishomingo and go to Pennington Creek Park afterwards for more fun.

Marietta’s firework display will be on July 1 at the “This Old Barn,” located on Loves Valley Road. They will be hosting the 2nd annual Independence Day Celebration starting at 7:30 p.m. and going until midnight. The firework exhibit will be after dark. There will be crawfish, dancing, fireworks, and games for everyone to enjoy. There are admission fees as well for those who wish to attend. The entry fee is $20 for admission and food, $10 for admission only, and $5 for children under 12.

Madill will be hosting a FFMC Marshall County Freedom Fest on July 2. It will be located on Whiskey Creek Road and will have more than just fireworks to offer. Their firework viewing will be at nightfall.. This festival will have live music, mini bike races, mini bike jousting, ax throwing, horseshoes, slip n’ slides, and silent auctions. Food will also be provided with the choices of chicken, ham, or roast beef.

Highport Marina in Potts boro, Texas has their firework viewing on July 2. The show will start at 9:15 p.m. and it’s recommended by the Marina to park at The Island Bar & Grill for the best view of the show.

Megastar Casino in Willis, Okla. will have their firework show at the casino on July 2. The fireworks will begin at 8:45 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m.

Sanders Island View in Enos, Okla. will also host their fireworks display on July 2. The fireworks will fire away once the sun goes down.

Buncombe Creek has their firework exhibit set for nightfall on July 2.

Lake Texoma will crack open their fireworks on July 3 at 9 p.m. Their fireworks will be West of the Roosevelt Bridge. Due to the ongoing construction, there will be limited space for car parking.

Cardinal Cove in Enos, Okla. will have their firework showing on July 3. The show will be down by the docks of Cardinal Cove and will begin around dusk.

July 4 is the date for Durant Choctaw Casino and Resorts fireworks show. The casino has held this firework show for over 20 years. The show will begin at nightfall approximately around 9:45 p.m. and will last for approximately 25 minutes. The show will also be synchronized with the music on KBLC on 106.3 F.M. Radio.

Lake Murray will provide their firework display on July 4. They will have a threehour showing from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Lake Murray State Park.

Denison will have their 35th annual fireworks celebration on July 4. This celebration will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. at Munson Stadium.
