WYMT partners with Kentucky Blood Center for Summer blood drive

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The Kentucky Blood Center partnered with WYMT for a Summer blood drive on July 1st.
Donors gave blood in the Bloodmobile outside our station in Hazard.
Everyone who donated was entered to win a 2022 Toyota RAV4 and an all-inclusive Jamaican vacation for two.
For some donors, like Anita Holland, giving is about more than free giveaways.
“July the first, my mother would have been 107 years old, so I’m donating in the memory of her, and my father served in World War Two, and I’ve had family that’s needed to profit from the blood donations.” She said.
11 people donated, totaling nine pints of blood.
