A popular marina is now under new ownership.
After 25 years of ownership, Charlie Waller is retiring and has sold the Isle of Hope Marina to TPG Marinas.
That company currently operates marinas in similar areas to Isle of Hope, including Nantucket, Massachusetts and Jamestown, Rhode Island among others.
“It’s a first-class property in a great area," said Eric Bradley, VP of Marine Operations for TPG Marinas. "It doesn’t get more picturesque than where we’re standing here right now. So to be able to come to work every day and work in a place like this is great and we’re anxious to build on the legacy Charlie and his family have built.”
“These people we have chosen, TPG Marinas is an outstanding organization with a lot of the same views that we have in protecting a secure and historic place," Waller said.
The new owner plans to retain all of the current staff at Isle of Hope Marina, including the management team.
There will also be a reception to meet the new owners on July 21.
