What's going on at the old Jack in the Box in Abilene?

Work is underway at the former Jack in the Box restaurant on the north side of Abilene on Thursday on East Overland Trail off Interstate 20. The location has been closed for years. Tim Littlejohn, director of planning and development services for the city of Abilene, said there were "no signs of work being done that would need a permit." The hamburger franchise also had a location on North First Street and Leggett Drive that no longer exists.
