Driver killed in Union County crash, troopers say
A driver was killed in a crash Thursday morning in Union County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The crash happened about 12:45 p.m. on Highway 72 near Woodyard Road. Troopers said a vehicle was traveling east and went off the road, hit a sign, lost control, hit a ditch and then a tree. They said the driver died at the scene. No one else was in the vehicle. The name of the driver has not been released.
