Warsaw, N.Y. — A former Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce employee has been sentenced for stealing money from the chamber.
Kelly Ashcraft, 45, was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty in March to stealing $100,000 from the chamber by forging the signature of a chamber employee and failing to make entries in chamber business records as required.

Ashcraft was sentenced to 2 ⅓-7 years for second-degree grand larceny, 2-6 years for second-degree forgery and 1 ⅓-4 years for first-degree falsifying business records.
Judge Michael Mohun ordered all sentences run concurrent to each other and that Ashcraft pay $105,024.78 in restitution.
“This defendant has done nothing to show remorse for breaching trust of the small businesses that make up the Chamber of Commerce," Wyoming County District Attorney Donald O'Geen said in a release. "She failed to pay any of $105,000 that she stole from the Chamber of Commerce and its members. This sentence continues to send a message that violating the community’s trust will not be tolerated.”
