A juvenile is facing four felony charges after allegedly breaking into cars and stealing a car Tuesday, according to the Smyrna Police Department. The incident occurred along Almaville Road near Lifepoint Church.

Authorities report the juvenile is from Jacksonville, Florida and was charged with two counts of theft and two counts of auto burglary, after a brief investigation. Patrol officers responding to initial reports of the break-ins were able to recover the stolen car, gather evidence and/or statements, and update detectives with critical information. Through further investigating, detectives were able to develop a suspect in both the stolen vehicle report and the auto burglaries.

On Tuesday, June 28th, the Smyrna Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, patrol officers, and the SWAT team, served a search warrant at an area home. It was at that home that property from the auto burglaries was recovered. The juvenile was then taken into custody by Smyrna Police.
