One man has been arrested after police say he stole $2,000 worth of jewelry and other items from a home in Jackson Township.
State Police say around 9:40 PM on June 25th, troopers responded to a home on Megan Court after receiving a theft report.
The victims, a 71-year-old female and a 72-year-old male, stated that they hired Velocity Moving & Storage to move their belongings.
Troopers say that an investigation showed that 31-year-old Jhavon Webber was in possession of $2,078 worth of jewelry and other items such as a Louis Vuitton change purse, quarters, a thermometer, and a stethoscope.
Webber was also found in possession of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
Webber was charged with theft by unlawful taking of moveable property, receiving stolen property, possession of offensive weapons, and other drug and possession-related charges.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
