Richland Police have arrested a man who they say is wanted for several charges.
Police said on June 29th, the Richland Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) was conducting surveillance in the 1600 block of Jadwin Avenue. During the surveillance, they were attempting to find a man named Michael Bostic.
When officers found Bostic, they said he was riding an electric bicycle. Officers said it was unlikely that he was the owner of the E-Bike.
Police stopped Bostic and told him he was under arrest. RPD said Bostic ran from the area through an apartment complex, crashed near a dumpster and ran into his apartment.
The SCU officers and RPD officers then surrounded Bostic's apartment. RPD said because of Bostic's known conduct, they called the On-Duty SWAT team and Kennewick Police K-9 units in to assist.
Police said they were able to talk to Bostic over the phone before he surrendered to police.
Officers conducted a search warrant at Bostic's apartment where they found evidence from several cases they're investigating.
RPD said Bostic has been booked into the Benton County Jail for suspicion of the following charges:
- Felony Warrant-DOC Escape Community Custody.
- Misdemeanor warrants out of the Benton County District Court and Richland PD for Domestic Violence Assault, Driving With a Suspended License and Obstructing a Public Officer.
- Felony Warrant-Benton County for 2 counts of Third Degree Assault with a weapon.
- Misdemeanor warrants out of Kennewick PD for Driving With a Suspended License and no ignition interlock device.
Officials said they also found Probable Cause to arrest Bostic for suspicion of the following charges:
- Felony threats to kill (2 counts) out of the Richland Police Department.
- Illegal possession of a firearm (shotgun and handgun) out of the Richland Police Department.
- Additional felony crimes out of Kennewick PD.
