A new hospital building and three-story medical office is proposed for Pocono Township.

This week, the Pocono Township Planning Commission heard a request for the Embree Development Group the building on the site of the Hunter Pocono Peterbilt trucks property at 1328 Golden Slipper Road. The property is in a commercial zoning district.

The hospital is expected to be 22,464 square feet, with a 10,246-square-foot medical office.

Tenants have not been disclosed.

The company is also planning a hospital and medical building on the site of a former Weis in Lower Macungie Township.
