Lewistown police announce a shooting in Lewistown

The Lewistown Police Department announced on Thursday that there has been a shooting in Lewistown.

According to a news release, the Lewistown Police Department responded at around 5:30 p.m. to the 1200 block of 6th Avenue North in Lewistown for a report of a shooting at a residence.

The release stated that the investigation is ongoing, and the area may be blocked off. There is currently no danger to the community, the release said.
