A 22-year-old man was killed Thursday morning in a shooting at the intersection of Sycamore Drive and Alpine Road.

Thaddeus Rodregus Price, of Augusta, was shot at least one time and pronounced dead at the scene, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.

The shooting, which occurred at 12:55 a.m., is the second fatal shooting to occur in the Forest Hills area this month.

On June 14, Eurl Kittles, 42, was killed during a shooting at Captain D's restaurant on Wrightsboro Road.

The two shootings occurred about a mile apart.

Price's mother-in-law, Regina Brown, took to Facebook to share her thoughts about the shooting.

"Lord put the guns down," she wrote. "It's gonna be hard explaining to my granddaughter about this one... I'm so hurt and angry right now. He was a great young man, very respectful."
