Simpson County man arrested, authorities locate around seven pounds of cocaine

FRANKLIN, Ky. – A Franklin man was arrested Tuesday on several charges following a drug bust.

According to authorities, a joint investigation between the United States Postal Inspectors, South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force, Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations led to a two-week investigation into trafficking cocaine into Simpson County.

On June 28, Kevin Gardner, 34, of Franklin was arrested after he was found to have about seven pounds of cocaine in his possession, according to a social media post by the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force.

Gardner was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of marijuana.

Gardner was lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center.
