Paris Home, Contents Total Loss After Fire

Paris, Tenn.– A Paris home was destroyed by fire Wednesday along with a bass fishing boat and pickup truck.  There were no injuries; the residents were not at home at the time of the fire.

Paris Firefighters were called to 301 Greenwood Dr. at 11:45 a.m. and as they arrived, the found heavy smoke and fire already coming from the home. A search was conducted and no one was found in the house. Fire then breached the roof in multiple locations.

Fire Marshal Greg Andrews was called to the scene and the investigation into the cause is ongoing.

The home belongs to Brian and Kim Wilson. Firefighters reported they managed to retrieve some items from the home, but the home and most of the contents are a total loss. A bass fishing boat in the carport was listed as a total loss, with heavy damage to a Ford pickup.

Loss to property was listed at $125,000 and loss to contents at $6,000.
