OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Fayette County’s most exciting new attraction continues to expand upon its business model, as the Starlite Drive-In announced Thursday that starting this week it will be offering radio rentals.
This newest amenity will be in short supply initially, as this first week will serve as a trial run to determine how much general customer demand can be anticipated on a week-to-week basis going forward. Additional devices will be brought in to accommodate a higher demand once it has been established.
In the meantime, 15 radios will be available to patrons for rental from a tent near the location’s concession stand.
Check and card transactions are unavailable for radio rentals, so those hoping to take advantage of this new feature should bring along some cash in anticipation.
The charge per rental is $5, though a $15 refundable deposit is also required as collateral to cover costs in the event of a radio being returned with damage or not being returned at all. This brings the total to $20 cash up front at the time of rental, though renters will see their $15 deposit returned once the rental is returned in working condition.
Tickets are $8 per person, with free entry offered to those 5 and under. Tickets are cash only, and there is no carload rate available.
Those in attendance for Saturday’s show, which had to be stopped, may bring their ticket this week for raincheck admission.
This week’s movie lineup – Thursday, June 30 – Saturday, July 2 – consists of Top Gun: Maverick and Morbius. The first movie of the night (Top Gun: Maverick) will begin at dusk, or at around 9:00pm.
