DETROIT LAKES – The Detroit Lakes legion baseball team suffered a pair of losses on Wednesday night at Washington Ballpark.
After Post 15 dropped game one 4-2, Moorhead ran away with game two, tagging Detroit Lakes in six out of seven innings in a 12-2 drubbing.
Post 15’s runs game in the third and seventh innings. Jordan Tucker drove in Bradly Swiers with a sacrifice fly. Joshua Goodspeed also scored on a passed ball.
Post 15 had an early lead in game one. After Moorhead struck first in the top of the third, Detroit Lakes got the run back and more in the bottom of the frame. Tucker singled in a run to tie the game before Jacob Thomas brought home Tucker with a base hit.
Moorhead evened the score in the top of the fourth in the second of four-straight one-run innings. Logan Adams pitched 6 and 1/3 innings, allowing 11 four earned runs on 11 hits and three walks. He also struck out two batters.
