The Estacada Public Library's Summer Reading program returns to motivate kids, teens and adults to dig into books.

"Summer reading is essential in preventing student learning loss over the summer months, known as the 'summer slide,'" said Deborah VanDetta, Estacada Public Library's Youth Services librarian. "By reading just 20 minutes a day, students can maintain or improve their reading skills and return to school in the fall ready to learn."
