Besos Cocina & Cantina held a soft opening at 3107 S. I-35, Round Rock, on June 16 with a grand opening planned for July 8. The Mexican-inspired restaurant occupies a building formerly home to Tortuga Flats, which closed in 2018. 737-708-8017. www.facebook.com/besosrr

Lonestar Kolaches opened in a building formerly occupied by Little Red Wagon Hamburgers on June 18. The space was renovated to accommodate two businesses and is occupied by both Lonestar Kolaches and Long Island Deli. Owners Massey and Allen Wallace own six other Lonestar Kolaches locations in the Austin area, all of which offer traditional sweet kolache pastries, egg kolaches and sausage kolaches. Red Lotus Asian Grille opened in the Round Rock Boardwalk shopping center at 2601 S. I-35, Ste. A500, on May 28. Twin Peaks reopened its Round Rock location June 27 after completion of tornado-related repairs, according to an announcement from the company.
